How much does a load of washing cost?
This depends on which washer you are using.
- 8kg washer is $5 per load
- 14kg washer is $9 per load
- 18kg washer is $12 per load

How do I use the washers and dryers?
Please refer to our operating instructions which shows step by step instructions for each of the washers and dryers in our laundromat.
Do I need to bring my own soap powder?
Soap powder sachets are available for purchase in the laundromat ($1 per sachet). If you prefer you can bring your own soap powder.

Do you have large washing machines for quilts, blankets and rugs?

What do I do if a machine won’t work?
You can contact us here and we will send someone to check it out.
Can you change notes to coins in the laundromat?
Yes, a change machine is provided against the back wall.
How long does it take to dry a load of laundry?
Drying times
- For an 8kg load – minimum about 30min ($5 – $6)
- For a 14kg load – minimum about 45min ($7 –$8)
- For an 18kg load – perhaps split the load and use 2 dryers 30 min each ($5 – $6 Per dryer)

- HIGH temperature 88°C
- MED temperature 82°C
- LOW temperature 72°C
- DELICATES temperature 54°C
What wash cycles are available?
- Wash Program 1: Hot wash, 65°C
- Wash Program 2: Warm wash, 50°C
- Wash Program 3: Cold wash, 20°C
- Wash Program 4: Bright colours, 20°C
- Wash Program 5: Woollens and delicates, 15°C

Where is The Mat located?
You’ll find The Mat situated at 81 Carrington Street, Adelaide.

No problem, The Mat on Carrington is open from 6:00am to 11:00pm, 7 days a week. Refer to our Trading Hours Page for full details.
Can I leave my laundry unattended?
If you’re in a rush and don’t have time to do your laundry we would rather recommend you take advantage of our personal laundry service. The Mat is under 24/7 CCTV surveillance for your safety although we regret we cannot take any responsibility for lost or stolen property.
